# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You probably already have every single ingredient sitting in your pantry right now.
  • It makes tofu, tempeh, and even plain roasted vegetables taste like they were seasoned by someone who really knows what they are doing.
  • One batch lasts for months and costs a fraction of anything you would find in a store.
02 -
  • Old spices will make this entire blend taste flat and dusty, so toss anything that has been open for more than a year before you start.
  • The flavor deepens noticeably after the blend sits for 24 hours, so try to make it a day ahead if you can.
03 -
  • Toast the blend in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds before using it to bloom the oils and make the flavor dramatically more intense.
  • Nutritional yeast quality varies a lot between brands, so find one you love and stick with it for consistent results every batch.
