# What goes in:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1.1 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
02 - 1 tsp salt
03 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1/2 tsp onion powder

→ Cheese & Buns

06 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
07 - 8 slider buns

→ Toppings

08 - 8 small lettuce leaves
09 - 8 slices tomato
10 - 8 slices pickles
11 - 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced

→ Condiments

12 - 2 tbsp ketchup
13 - 2 tbsp yellow mustard
14 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise

# Directions:

01 - Gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl. Avoid overmixing to maintain tender texture.
02 - Divide mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, making them slightly wider than the buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
03 - Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
04 - Cook patties for 2-3 minutes until browned on bottom. Flip, top each with cheddar slice, and cook another 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and patties reach desired doneness.
05 - Lightly toast slider buns on grill or in toaster until golden.
06 - Spread condiments on toasted buns. Layer lettuce, cheese-topped beef patty, tomato, pickles, and onion. Crown with top bun and serve immediately.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They cook faster than regular burgers, meaning less time standing over the grill and more time with your people
  • The meat-to-bun ratio is practically perfect in every single bite
02 -
  • Make a small thumbprint indent in the center of each raw patty to prevent them from puffing up into balls while cooking
  • Let the patties rest for a minute after grilling so the juices redistribute instead of running out immediately
03 -
  • Grill the buns cut-side down for just 30 seconds to get those beautiful char marks without drying them out
  • Butter the buns before toasting for an extra layer of richness that makes these feel restaurant-quality
